Titchfield Park
Residential area around Barry's Meadow playing fields with a mix of housing, sports facilities, and green links to Titchfield Haven.
Titchfield Park is a residential area to the south and south-west of the village centre, taking its name from the green spaces and recreational ground in the vicinity. The area includes Barry's Meadow playing fields, which provide the village's main sports and recreation facility with football pitches, a cricket ground, and a children's playground. The park area connects to the footpaths that lead south towards Meon Shore and Titchfield Haven. The housing around Titchfield Park is mixed, with some older properties near the village centre and more modern development on the southern fringes. Ranvilles Lane and the streets off it form part of this area, with housing ranging from 1960s bungalows to later infill development. The area has a pleasant, open feel thanks to the proximity of the playing fields and the green corridor that extends south along the river. Residents are within walking distance of both the village centre and the nature reserve, which is one of the attractions of living in this part of Titchfield. The Titchfield Carnival, which is held annually and is one of the largest village events in Hampshire, uses Barry's Meadow as its base. The park area also includes allotments, which are well used by local gardeners. The southern end of the area transitions into the more rural landscape that stretches down to the coast at Hill Head and Meon Shore, giving the neighbourhood a sense of being on the edge of the countryside rather than in the middle of suburbia.
