Meon Shore
Nature, Titchfield
Meon Shore is the stretch of coastline where the River Meon meets the Solent, adjacent to Titchfield Haven nature reserve. The shore provides views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight and connects to the coastal footpaths that run east to Hill Head and west towards the Hamble estuary. The beach is a mix of shingle and sand, and the area is popular with walkers, birdwatchers, and families. The shore is reached via Posbrook Lane or from Hill Head to the east. The combination of the river mouth, the nature reserve, and the open Solent gives Meon Shore a distinctive coastal character that is wilder and quieter than the more developed shorelines further east.
