Barry's Meadow

Street guide, Titchfield

Barry's Meadow is the name given to both the playing fields and the road that serves them, located south of the village centre. The meadow is the main recreational green space in Titchfield, with football pitches, a cricket ground, and a children's playground. The road provides access to the sports facilities and to the houses on the southern fringe of the village. Barry's Meadow is the venue for the annual Titchfield Carnival, one of the largest village events in Hampshire, which draws crowds from across the borough. The meadow connects to footpaths leading south towards Posbrook Lane and Titchfield Haven. For residents, Barry's Meadow is a well-used community resource, providing space for sport, play, and informal recreation throughout the year. The meadow has a pleasant open aspect, with views across to the trees that line the river corridor.
