High Street

Street guide, Titchfield

Titchfield High Street runs north from The Square towards Bridge Street and the abbey. Despite its name, it is a relatively short stretch of road, but it contains several notable buildings and forms an important part of the village centre. The High Street has a mix of residential properties and a few businesses. Some of the houses are period properties with historic features, and the street has a quieter character than South Street. The northern end connects to the routes leading towards the abbey and the River Meon. The High Street is part of the conservation area and contributes to the overall architectural quality of the village centre. It provides a pedestrian route between The Square and the footpaths that lead to the abbey ruins and the canal path, making it a well-used street for both residents and visitors.
